What have we been doing?
The missions’ team has been working quietly behind the scenes to commence its first permanent overseas project, which will be in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
We have employed a part time person, Hendro, to co-ordinate our projects there and we will soon have a rental property for us to use there. This project is initially scheduled to go for 12 months.
What are Yogyakarta's needs?
Yogyakarta is a university town with many people coming in to study then returning to their villages. Many become Christians. However, many Churches do not reach the people who permanently live in Yogyakarta and consequently congregations have large turnovers. This is where we can help!
How can we help?
A team from URBANlife will be going to Yogyakarta in December to carry out the next phase of the project. This will include leadership training, teaching on relationships and seminars on reaching the community. This will be followed up with another visit in July.
